Thousands of choristers and colorful fireworks: the final chords of Victory Day in Grodno

Festive events in honor of Victory Day, which began in Grodno in the morning with a large-scale parade, continued throughout the day at a wide variety of venues. In the evening Grodno residents and city guests were invited to the Mound of Glory. The concert program began at 22.00 - the most famous songs on military themes were performed by studios "Septima" and "Millennium" of the Grodno City Center of Culture.
Every minute there were more and more spectators. And closer to 12 o’clock, the playground in front of an improvised stage at the foot of Kurgan accommodated more than one thousand spectators from the smallest to the older people. Many people were in a hurry just for the sake of participation in the action “Let's sing ” Victory Day” together, which has become traditional for Grodno.
The song, which was created for the 30th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, and today sounds year after year, paying tribute to all those thanks to whom the Great Victory was won.
The famous lines “This Victory Day smelled gunpowder ...” performed the largest choir: more than two hundred artists on stage and several thousand before it. The soloists of the city’s military orchestras performed. A choir of war and labor veterans, creative teams of educational and cultural institutions of Grodno also went on stage with them.
The celebrations ended with a colorful salute, the sparks of which lit up our peaceful sky.
